I want to make this more aware of anyone who has struggled with swollen lymph nodes that has been seen by countless of doctors out there and each and every time the doctors don't know why it would be so extremely painful and constantly swollen it could be your gallbladder. I truly feel so blessed and when I told the doctor during my check up for the gallbladder she told me she hears about this all the time. I can touch my neck now and it feels normal and it just amazes me each time to feel normal again. When you're in constant pain and years go by, you kinda feel like an empty shell of the person you once were. Since my surgery, I have not had any swollen lymph nodes anymore, I honestly gave up hope before my surgery. I've been through different doctors and all of them couldn't tell me why my body was constantly fighting something which triggered my lymph nodes. The crazy part, since 2019 I've had the worst pain with lymph nodes in my neck I even got a biopsy to just make sure I didn't have cancer. She told me it looked like I had this for a very long time. The Doctor told me my gallbladder was chronically inflamed and I had cholesterol pile ups inside my gallbladder where it stopped emptying correctly. I went to the Doctor for a check up over my gallbladder surgery to make sure everything looked like it should. I try not to think of it but it's damn hard not to see your life flash by in the silent moments you are alone How big is the chance you have an acoustic neuroma something that happens to 1 in 200,000 people and the same year get some kind of lymphoma which is also pretty rare. I'm beyond scared, I have no symptoms I've always been fatigued except for the evenings, no night sweats no other illness.īut the most common thing I hear is people's first symptom is an enlarged lymph node, only 20% present themselves with other symptoms (B-symptoms). I've been hypochondriac since they found it out, and of course, with my luck, I started noticing one big swollen lymph node, went to the GP she referred me for an ultrasound this past Wednesday, and Friday (today) results are in they can't rule out something malignant, need to go and get a biopsy next week. Started with some mild hearing loss, but quickly became much worse due to it growing and bleeding rapidly. I've had a massive acoustic neuroma of 5cm (benign brain tumour on the auditory nerve) they removed the sucker which left me with single-sided deafness. Believe it or not a lot of times when lymph nodes become swollen or inflamed they may never go back down to their normal size, they can stay enlarged for months, years even the rest of your life and that is absolutely perfectly normal! So trust me, unless you really feel like your body is deteriorating or something crazy like that, you are definitely fine! I’ve had three blood tests done so far and one was a blood smear for a pathology test (that’s where they inspect your blood under a microscope and they check for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING) the first time they just said I had an onset bacterial infection which was why my nodes were swollen and the last two tests came back perfect! They said there was no signs or any indications of lymphoma or any other cancers or serious disease’s/illnesses! And I’ve also had swollen lymph nodes under and around my jaw and behind my ear and they’ve literally been swollen since I was like 12 and I’m 25 now. I threw myself in a downward spiral for weeks because I have multiple swollen lymph nodes on the left side of my neck. If you have abnormally high or low blood cells they may suspect cancer and proceed with other tests to really make sure, and again it will also check to see if there are any cancer cells or abnormalities in your blood which may also indicate cancer. When they do blood tests they will check and see if there are any signs of T-cells or lymphoma cells and they can also check the count of your red and white blood cells which are also affected if it were to be cancer.
